„Treasure Island“ is the most thrilling, the most piratical, the most stormy and seafaring family performance for children and adults, created by director Denis Simeonov, set designer Yasmin Mandelli, composer Milen Apostolov, song lyrics – Momchil Koritarov, and seventeen more actors who will transport us straight to the 18th century - the Golden Age of pirates. 

And as befits any pirate adventure, at the centre of events is a mysterious map that has fallen by chance into the hands of a young boy, drawing in rich and poor, pirates and noblemen, the greedy and the idealists, a parrot and even a one-legged ringleader, all ready to do anything to find the Caribbean island and the pirate treasure. 

Aboard our ship, rocked by songs and sea storms, we will also bring the legendary women pirates – Anne Bonny and Mary Read, fighting for their share of the loot. Drawn into this unequal struggle is little Jim Hawkins, determined to come of age and prove that courage and honour are the truest companions.

To be a pirate you need:

• a huge ship with many cannons and sails

• a black flag with a skull and crossbones

• a tricorn hat or a headscarf

• extravagant clothing

• high-heeled boots

• hoop earrings

• tanned skin and many scars

• a short sabre, daggers and flintlock pistols

• a wooden leg or a hook instead of a hand

• a pile of treasure

• a map leading to the treasure, marked with a red cross

• a parrot
