Hearty laughter fills theatre halls all over the world whenever a play by the Croatian playwright Miro Gavran is performed. His characters are close to the audience because they are ordinary people like them. They are authentic images from life, who constantly land in absurd situations and relationships.

"New Husband Wanted" is a comedy that abounds in unexpected and surprising events. And they are set off by the adventurous decision of a wealthy widow to look for a new husband on social media. As a result, a dizzying race unfolds between several candidates for her heart. But who are they really, and are they truly who they claim to be?

"Miro Gavran’s dramatic texts are loved by all actors, because they are full of life’s juices and are an inexhaustible source of interpretations. Therefore, there should be no relevant European theatre whose repertoire lacks such a text.
They are loved by theatre managers too, because audiences persistently come to see the productions created from them. Such is our production „New Husband Wanted” as well. The ideal of love is at stake. And love is an axiom that cannot be proven."
