PREMIERE "NO, THANK YOU!" A look behind the scenes!
On 1 and 11 February, on the "Pan Buryanin" Chamber Stage at 19:00, is the premiere of the solo performance "No, Thank You" by Albena Nenkova. Featuring Borisa Sarafova-Cherkelova, director - Ovanes Torosyan
We take a peek behind the scenes of the theatre days before the premiere. We find ourselves in the so-called „sound engineer’s workshop“, where Ovanes Torosyan, often called the „one-man orchestra“, records his 12 original musical pieces for the solo performance „No, Thank You!“. Although the studio is „two by two“, it gathers all the pre-premiere theatrical enthusiasm around the creation of a performance.
And in the spirit of the solo performance, which, with laughter, love and merciless candour, tells of the people in the theatre who are invisible to the audience, we chose to point our spotlight at the team and the creators of the musical arrangement of „No, Thank You!“
Slavi Pavlov – a professional trumpeter, a jolly fellow, officially - sound technician of the theatre; Iliyan Genchev – holds a guitar, creates the mood, officially – sound technician of the theatre. Angel Beshev – the sound engineer, seemingly serious (after all, he wears glasses), but without whom crystal-clear sound is impossible. Behind the lens is the theatre’s stage manager – Tihomir Hristov – a fine master at capturing „the moment“, a connoisseur of the human face, a professional photographer.
Behind the microphone – the actress Borisa Sarafova-Cherkelova – talented and spirited, and also cool-headed, the iron lady of the Pleven theatre. „No, Thank You“ is her tribute to her home town of Pleven and to all those invisible people behind the scenes of the theatre.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU!
„NO, THANK YOU!“
